Apprenticeships & Mentorship
We help grow the next generation of developers through structured mentorship, real-world project experience, and participation in programs like USM Launch Fund Nexus, where we partner directly with startups and students to support early-stage innovation through hands-on guidance.
MicroGrants and Donations
We support organizations aligned with our values that expand access, opportunity, and representation in tech, including past initiatives like COVID SLAM and BWiT (Baltimore Women in Tech Micro Grant program). We also donate to causes like Black-led organizations working to improve equity in our community.
Volunteering
SmartLogic team members contribute their time and expertise to community initiatives, civic tech projects, and nonprofit organizations, including hackathons, open-source work, and hands-on volunteer efforts.

Conferences & Industry Engagement
We attend, network, and speak at conferences across tech, nonprofit, and healthtech spaces, including ElixirConf, NTEN, EDUCAUSE, HIMSS, ViVE, and DHIS, where practitioners are actively solving real-world problems.

SmartLogic team members participate in local and online gatherings, from meetups to digital spaces to the Elixir Wizards Podcast. We’re actively engaged in the conversations shaping the ecosystem, sharing knowledge and learning alongside our peers.
